RESORT 2019

So what is a Resort or Cruise collection designers present each year? Also referred to as a travel collection, it is an inter-season or pre-season line of ready-to-wear clothing produced in addition to the recurrent twice-a-year seasonal collections of Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter.

These capsules were initially meant for wealthy customers vacationing in the warm Mediterranean area during the winter months, or traveling on an actual cruise. Collections include light spring or summer clothing when the weather, at points of sale, actually calls for winter apparel. Today, designs are regarded as Pre-Spring - a sneak peek at the warmer weather fashion direction.
